Someone Somewhere is tracking you!

No matter how secure you have made yourself on Internet. Someone somewhere is tracking your data!(Photo Courtesy:Times of India)

It has been 20 years of World Wide Web, and now almost half of the world has its presence on the internet. Social Networking has taken it to another level by presenting people in their digital avatars.

But how secure are you over the Internet?

We all share our photos, important data, news, information all over the internet with our friends and family and want the data to be secure. Facebook has it’s privacy settings but there are certainly a few loopholes.

Whatever you do on internet is been constantly monitored. Though there is no criminal activity behind it, but yes you are being TRACKED!

Ever wondered how Google gives you exact results you are looking for? Google has got a tool called Google Analytics which analyses your search pattern and gives you the best result possible. And guess what it works on every website. How does facebook manage to give you advertisements which are close to your needs? It also tracks your data!

I am not here to demean the marketing policy or any other policy of any Company. But as users we must know the loopholes in our own security. Though these websites ensure security, but there has been no website which cannot be hacked into by using very simple methods.

Be safe over the Internet! Don’t click on spam links.

The rising ‘interference’ of the Digital World

Hello readers,

Yes, I am finally back on this website, writing enthralling stuff for your brains.

While thinking of new ideas for the post, I came across a news article that stated ‘ Facebook will affect 160 constituencies in 2014 polls’. and realized how our digital copies on the internet can really alter the scenarios in the physical ( real in true sense) world??

Since the advent of internet, more precisely ‘the social media’, our lives have been cut into two halves. We all have our digital ‘clones’ on different websites which nowadays call themselves ‘Media‘.

The real meaning of the term media is ‘ the bridge between the people and the government’ . But for the past decade the interference of digital world has grown exponentially into the field of what we know as Mass Communication. Within seconds a news can be spread ( and so can be rumours) across all the people around the globe.

We all are readily accepting the increasing popularity of social networking and the physical world ceased to exist any more. The right wingers had been dominant ( in India especially) on these networks trying to ‘influence’ the youth. Now what we see is the acceptance of this technology by the Government as well. Every Speech of the President of India, prime Minister of India is uploaded on Facebook pages. The social network has entered governance too.

To conclude this post, I would like to remind you that this platform for communication is relatively new and is ever evolving into a stronger shape. So whatever the study says about the influence of social media on votes looks little exaggerated ( same as the Rs. 26 figure). Meanwhile keep posting your ideas and opinions but do remember there are friends ( and followers) in real life too.

Hope you enjoyed the read.

Till we meet in the next post. Jai Hind.

Questions? Let them come!

Curiosity is as much the parent of attention, as attention is of memory.
Richard Whately

Doubts arising in your mind? Questions running around inside the grey matter? Don’t hesitate let them come by and let others know about them.
A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?
Albert Einstein
Like a child is seeking answers for everything he sees around him, we should learn to ask questions, about anything and everything! A wise man can learn from foolish questions! I recall my days in first year of college, where I met a student who had questions regarding almost everything. He asked the teachers, his fellows and people laughed at him. But he did succeed in getting good grades in university exams.
The lesson I learnt from this experience was to get the questions out from behind the bars. Hesitancy, what others would think, make us afraid of expressing our doubts. Its the act of bravery to put up questions as many of us lack this courage!

Questions behind the bars!

No question is so difficult to answer as that to which the answer is obvious.
George Bernard Shaw

If you cannot speak out, write your question on a piece of paper, at the back of a notebook or maybe on Facebook or Twitter. Believe me it will get you a big relief . Ask a question to an incompetent person or a person who doesn’t even know what you are asking! In the search of his quest he may find a person with knowledge to that particular curiosity and you may get benefit. Knowledge spreads this way only!

You go on Google and type something to quench the thirst of curiosity! That’s what you need to do in your life as well! Find some Google around you and ask him/her your doubts! They will get answered sooner or later.Yes they will get answered!

What we have today around us have all generated out of a Question, “Why?”

Had Newton not asked himself “Why does this apple fall on the ground?” , were we able to make Rockets and space ships and Satellites?

So Questions are Important! As important as the answers would be!

If you do not know how to ask the right question, you discover nothing.
W. Edwards Deming

If this post raises questions in your Active brains! then do put them in comments/feedback! But I won’t answer them, you will find them yourselves.

Final words from a great Greek poet

Question everything. Learn something. Answer nothing.

Happy questioning! 🙂

Happy Questioning!
